He Tastes Like You, Only Sweeter
6th-Sep-2007 01:48 am
An angsty-type Harry Potter songfic that I wrote while being bored/sick at school using Thanks for the Memories by Fall Out Boy.

Characters include Sirius Black, James Potter, Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Lily Evans, original character Chrissy Henderson, and mention of original character Piper Smith. Chrissy belongs to me and may not be used without express permission from me. Piper Smith belongs to musical_sarcasm, and may not be used without expressed permission from her. Everybody else belongs to J.K. Rowling. I don't own her world, I just fiddle with it.

Word Count: 1,573
Rating: PG

I'm gonna make you bend and break
(It sends you to me without wait)
Say a prayer but let the good times roll
In case God doesn't show
(Let the good times roll, let the good times roll)
And I want these words to make things right
But it's the wrongs that make the words come to life
"Who does he think he is?"
If that's the worst you got
better put your fingers back to the keys

“I can’t believe you, Sirius Orion Black!” a seventh year Chrissy screeched in the middle of the Gryffindor common room.

“Will you keep it down over there? Some of us are busy snogging,” James Potter piped up as he broke away from his snogging session with Lily Evans.

“I’ll give you snogging, Prongs,” Chrissy snapped, shooting a glare in his general direction.

“Now, back to you, Padfoot. I can’t believe you hid this from me! And for this long!” Chrissy continued on her rant.

“Well, maybe if you weren’t so obsessive, I wouldn’t have to go out and shag some other girl, now would I?” Sirius shot back.

“Excuse me, but Piper isn’t just ‘some other girl’. She’s one of my best friends! I can’t believe you would do this to me! I have half the mind to hex you from now to next week,” she continued on the tangent as she stormed up the steps to her dorm to get her cloak and wand. Within a couple of minutes, she came back down the steps. She threw on the cloak, and started storming out of the common room.

“Chrissy, wait,” Remus called.

“Remus, it’s too late. The damage is already done. Now if you’d excuse me, I’m going for a walk,” Chrissy said, just as calmly as Remus had called her name, but this time there were tears stinging her eyes.

She had finally made it to the main doors of the castle, and pushed them open. When Chrissy stepped out of the warmth of the building, she was greeted by a cold breeze. It was at this time that she was grateful that she remembered her cloak, and wrapped it around her thin, but athletic, body even tighter.

She stopped right before she got on the path to the lake and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, along with a lighter that had a dog’s head carved into it, symbolizing not only Sirius’ animagus form, but hers as well. She was upset, and it was times like these that she needed a fag. As she lit the smoke, the light from the lighter was just enough to read the backing.

Whiskers, I love you so much. Love, Padfoot

“Love my arse,” she mumbled, taking a pull off of the cigarette, and lit her wand, exposing a dim yellow light from the tip. Chrissy started down the path, not caring if she was going to get caught, nor caring if anybody else was out.

A shadow in the distance by the edge of the Forbidden Forest caught sight of Chrissy. He raised a pale hand, and pushed his greasy black hair from out of his face. He continued watching her walk, and finally coming to a stop at the water’s edge where she sat, taking drag after drag of her cigarette that was slowly burning.

Severus got up from his seat, and walked over quietly to Chrissy.

Been looking forward to the future
But my eyesight is going bad
And this crystal ball
It's always cloudy except for
When you look into the past (look into the past)
One night stand (one night stand off)

“See you made it,” Sev said in a smooth voice, with only a hint of arrogance hidden behind it. He sat down beside Chrissy, quiet, but making himself known.

“See you have too,” Chrissy replied, holding back the sobs that longed to be cried out. “I thought that Professor Slughorn would have caught you,” she continued, staring at her reflection in the black water of the lake.

“As you can tell, he didn’t, now did he?” Severus replied.

“Apparently not.”

Minutes of silence slipped between the two before the Slytherin spoke.

“Did you ask him?”

“Yes,” was Chrissy’s only reply.

An eyebrow rose, and a grin slowly formed on Severus’ face.

“And?”

“He did. He did, Severus. How could I have been so stupid?” Chrissy asked, feeling the tears beginning to fall.

Severus sat at Chrissy’s side, and, raising a hand, wiped away the droplets of water that formed at her eyes and that were racing down her cheeks.

“I just would have thought that you should have known now, rather than find out about it later if you two are married. It could have ruined things for you in the long run,” he spoke gently, rubbing the middle of her back. Severus had Chrissy right where he wanted her – alone and vulnerable.

“Severus,” Chrissy started out, her warm brown eyes meeting his cold black ones for a brief moment before glancing away. Even when it was just the two of them, she could never look into his eyes and let her gaze stay there. Her eyes went back to the water, gazing at her dim reflection in the blackness.

“Yes, Chrissy?” Severus replied, his eyebrow raised. Here he was, a cunning, ambitious Slytherin that was comforting a, in his opinion, bleeding heart Gryffindor who hung out with the wrong crowd. He saw through her Gryffindor exterior. She had the potential to be in any other house, but the Sorting Hat put her in that house seven years prior.

“Thank you,” was her only reply, her face flushing with a scarlet colour as Severus continued to trace his long, thin fingers down her cheeks.

In hotel rooms collecting page six lovers
Get me out of my mind and get you out of those clothes
I'm a liner away from getting you into the mood, whoa

“You’re welcome,” Severus replied, his voice sweeter than what it was when he spoke to her. No more was the hint of arrogance, hate, or sarcasm in his voice.

He leaned over, and gently brushed his lips against her cheek, waiting for the blush to creep into her cheeks again. Chrissy’s cheeks grew red again, and he smiled.

“You’re beautiful when you blush. Did anybody ever tell you that?” he whispered in her ear.

Chrissy nodded once, and then looked over to Severus, letting her eyes meet his longer than usual. No more was it just a glance in his direction, then looking away. In this moment, she was his and his alone.

Severus lifted her chin up, and captured her lips with his. The passion growing between the two was undeniable. No matter what happened, this was going to be kept between them.

Chrissy intensified the embrace, and soon Severus was probing her lips with his tongue, wanting to deepen the kiss. She was reluctant at first, but after a moment of knowing that nobody was out about to catch them, Chrissy parted her full lips, allowing Severus access to her mouth.

Minutes went by with Severus’ and Chrissy’s tongues dancing in each others mouths before Severus broke the kiss between them.

“I don’t want this to end,” Severus whispered, looking into her eyes.

“But we have to make it end,” Chrissy said softly, staring back up at him.

“Because he tastes like you only sweeter,” she continued, getting up from her place, and starting back up to the castle.

Severus stared after her, before scrambling to his feet.

“At least let me walk you back to your common room,” he said, finally catching up to her.

Chrissy sighed, and gave a nod, a silent agreement to let Severus walk her back.

They walked up the path, and had made it up to the Gryffindor tower before one of them spoke again.

“One more kiss before I leave?” Severus asked.

“No, Severus. But thank you for the memories. I’ve come to realize that Sirius tastes like you, only sweeter,” Chrissy answered, seeing the look of dejection on Severus’ face before he slinked away.

She turned, and gave the password to the Fat Lady, who in turn opened the portrait hole for her to enter.
